The aircraft’s acquisition through a long-term lease arrangement brings to 18 the current fleet which is hoped to bring relief to international travellers during the festive season.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Wasantha Kumarasiri said the K70 million was part of the Government’s 2008 supplementary budget. A further K30million has also been allocated to Air Niugini as part of the 2008 National budget.
